Tibetan Cultural Relics to be Displayed in Beijing
A total of 221 cultural relics from Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region will be on display at the Capital Museum in Beijing.
The items, including precious buddha statues, Thangka paintings, brocade, and golden masks, were transported to the museum on Monday.
Han Zhanming, curator the museum, said the items come from 21 cultural relics protection units in Beijing, Tibet, Hebei, Chongqing, and Qinghai. Thirteen museums and temples in Tibet provided 185 relics.
The display, one of the representative displays at the Capital Museum in 2018, will be opened to the public on Feb 27.
