　　The first phrase main body has been completed with exhibition area of 300,000 square meters

　　Along the south of Chengdu Tianfu Avenue to Xinglong Lake Flyover construction site, there is a huge brand for Western China International Expo and Exhibition Center. As the largest exhibition project in China, Western China International Expo Center has been constructed for one and a half year. The reporters saw that the first phrase project, International Expo and Exhibition Center has taken shape. “The first phrase project covers an area of 570,000 square meters. Currently the main body has been completed and is being demonstrated. Mr. Yu Dehao, the chief engineer of the project, indicates that the construction period is only two years and the center must be completed before July 30th. The busiest time of the construction, there are over 200 tower cranes and cranes with 50,000 workers.

　　What will it become after Western China International Expo Center is completed? Mr. Yu Dehao drew a large “V” shape like a terminal with 8 exhibition halls from A to H and 16 rooms. The indoor exhibition area of the center amounts to 200,000 square meters and the outdoor exhibition area reaches 100,000 square meters. After completion in 2016, the exhibition area in Sichuan will increase 300,000 square meters.

　　Meanwhile, there are other second phrase supporting projects for the expo city with conference center, hotels, complexes and so on which will be completed in 2017. The well-developed transportation supporting facilities will provide convenient services for exhibitors and visitors. “There are 5 subways, 3 streetcar lines, 2 rail transit transfer hubs, 2 subway stations directly to exhibition halls.” Mr. Yu Dehao introduced that there were different channels into the exhibition halls for the convenience of visitors and efficient transportation for freight vehicles.
