- Emei Mountain, located in China's Sichuan Province is the highest of China's Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains. It appears like a giant green screen in the Chengdu Plain.

- Located in the north of China's Sichuan Province, Jiuzhaigou has become a very popular tourist site. Jiuzhaigou Valley has a large number of lakes, waterfalls, and a rich variety of flora and fauna. In December of 1992 it was inscribed on World Heritage List by UNESCO.

- The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, commonly known as Chengdu Giant Panda Base, is located in the northern suburb of Chengdu on Futou Hill, 10 km from downtown Chengdu, and can be reached by the Panda Road.

- Located where the Min, Qingyi, and Dadu River meet in Leshan, Sichuan Province, the Leshan Giant Buddha is a marvel of artistic ingenuity. In December, 1996, the location of the Buddha was included by UNESCO on the list of the World Heritage sites.

- Wuhou Temple was built in memory of Zhuge Liang, the Prime Minister of the Shu during the period of Three Kingdoms. To Chinese people, Zhuge Liang was the personification of noble character and intelligence. Memorial temples erected in many places after his death in China.

- The Qingyang Palace (lit. cyan goat or sheep palace, also know as Qingyang Temple or Qingyang Gong Temple), situated at the southwest of Chengdu City, is the oldest and largest Taoist temple in the area of Southwest China's Sichuan Province.

- Sichuan Wolong Nature Reserve is home to many other animals besides the giant panda, including; red panda, golden monkey, white-lipped deer, and gnu. Visitors to the reserve can have the opportunity to have their photo taken with a giant panda cub.

- Wenshu Monastery (Manjushri Monastery), located at No. 15 Wenshu Yuan Street, Chengu, Sichuan Province, is the best-preserved Buddhist temple in China.

- The Xiling Snow Mountain, towering in Dayi County about 90 kilometers from Chengdu, ranges 484.8 square kilometers in area. The mounatin is a national scenic area known for its virgin forest and alpine landscape.

- Bifengxia Panda Base is about 19 km from Ya'an City and 150 kilometers from Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province. Covering 60 square kilometers, the base has been long famous for the forest coverage, waterfalls, river and breathtaking landscapes.
