- The Yarlung Zangbo River originates 5,590 meters above sea level in Gyemayangzong on China's Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Its grand canyon was officially named as Yarlung Zangbo Daxiagu (Grand Canyon, or Brahmaputra Valley) in early October 1998.

- Namjagbarwa Peak, reputed as "paradise in the clouds", located in Nyingchi Prefecture of Tibet Autonomous Region with 7756 meters above sea level. It ranks the 15th world highest mountain and ten top most beautiful mountains.

- Nyainqentanglha Mountains is a mountain range lying approximately 300 kilometer north-west of Lhasa in central Tibet. The range's highest peak, Mount Nyainqentanglha, stands at 7,162 meters in Damxung County.

- The Tibet Museum is located in the southeast corner of the Norbu Lingka Park, Lhasa City. Covering an area of 53,959 square meters, the museum houses numerous collections of Buddhist sculptures, paintings, jade wares, and ritual objects.

- Ramoche Temple (Xiao Zhao Si, or Ramoche Monastery) is situated in the northwest of Lhasa, covering a total area of 4,000 square meters. This temple is one of the important cultural relic protection sites of the Tibet Autonomous Region as well as a hot attraction in Lhasa.

- Yumbulagang Palace, (Yumbulakhang Palace) is the oldest palace in Tibet. It is also the oldest monumental structure in Tsedang. It was believed to be that King Nyatri Tsenpo descended from heaven to build this palace in 2nd century BC.
